Power Field Guide organizes public product specifications and provider-published business information. Here is what those records do—and do not—establish.

The equipment data

The catalog contains 214 UPS records with a minimum tested active output rating of at least 10 kW from the ENERGY STAR UPS dataset. The stored snapshot was retrieved 2026-09-12. It is refreshed by an explicit import, not continuously.

Source watts are divided by 1,000 to display kW; volt-amperes are divided by 1,000 to display kVA. Missing values remain missing. Brand labels are preserved from the source and may include related brands or subsidiaries. 18 labels does not mean 18 independent manufacturers.

Certification is not a stock check, quote, endorsement by Power Field Guide, or confirmation of project suitability. The catalog is not the complete UPS market. Its metadata links to the EPA data license, which describes default public-domain treatment and dataset-specific limitations.

Current data coverage

The last import matched all 214 qualifying records returned by the source count query. Input voltage, output voltage, kVA and reported efficiency are populated in this snapshot. 31 records have no usable manufacturer webpage link. Retrieval dates show when we checked, not when a product was introduced or changed.

The provider records

The initial directory contains 9 manually reviewed Texas-connected profiles. Inclusion requires a first-party public page describing a relevant product or service and a geographic connection. Service categories, territories and product lines are summaries of those claims. The profile links to its evidence and gives a review date.

Company accreditation, individual certification, manufacturer authorization and real-time availability are separate questions. We do not infer them from membership, an office address or a logo. A profile does not establish that a provider supports every product in the catalog.

How results are ordered

Equipment is ordered by output capacity or brand, using your chosen filters. Providers appear in editorial order. No payment changes matching, certification status or factual values. No sponsorship or referral arrangement is active in this MVP.

Useful comparisons, visible gaps

Compare the exact configuration, voltage and operating mode before treating efficiency or capacity differences as meaningful. Related products are selected by capacity proximity only and are not approved substitutes. A missing record does not prove that a product or capability does not exist.

How the buying guides are written

Power Field Guide publishes research-based buying guides using primary manufacturer documentation, ENERGY STAR records and provider-published sources. AI tools assist research and drafting; the editorial workflow checks cited claims, calculation examples and consistency with this catalog before publication. We do not present these articles as hands-on product tests, engineering sign-off or independent certification of a provider.

Dates on guides identify publication and substantive updates. Source checks are listed separately. Worked examples use stated assumptions; commercial checklists are our suggested questions, not promises about a provider’s offering. Corrections are reviewed against the linked evidence.

Corrections and refreshes

Source links and timestamps remain attached to the data. A failed import preserves the last working catalog. Supplier changes are reviewed manually, because new phrasing does not always mean a changed territory or service.
