Power Field Guide stores your saved research and submitted forms. When enabled, analytics helps us understand how the public directory is used.
Shortlists and comparisons
A signed browser cookie identifies your saved shortlist for up to 90 days. Saved product IDs are stored in the app’s database. The comparison selection is kept in this browser’s local storage; a copied comparison URL contains product IDs, not your name or email.
Operating-cost estimates
Calculator inputs and selected source records appear in the estimate URL so you can copy or print a scenario. Reports do not include your account or form details. Embedded calculators do not load analytics or create a shortlist session. Do not put confidential information in calculator inputs or custom branding.
Forms
Purchasing briefs, partnership interests and profile updates store the name, email, optional company and region, message, partnership interest where selected, attached product IDs and consent you submit. Launch-list signups store an email and consent. No emails are sent and no information is automatically shared with providers.
Operation
We count visits to public research pages with Umami, a cookieless analytics tool we host ourselves: it sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses and keeps the data on our own server. On public pages, we also count comparison selections, calculator result views, report-download starts, provider-website clicks and purchasing-brief starts. A download start does not confirm that a file was saved. These events do not include calculator values, query strings, form contents or personal details. Inquiry forms and receipt pages do not load analytics. We count saved inquiries separately using daily totals from stored submissions; this does not send form fields, references or browser identifiers to analytics. Reloading a receipt does not add another inquiry. A short-lived hashed network identifier limits repeated form submissions; it is not sold or shared. Provider links open external websites with their own policies.
Project resources
Our resource links to Coursera, Upwork and DocHub use referral tracking. If you follow a link, the destination and its referral network may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute a purchase. We may receive a commission. The resource panel opens only when you choose Project resources. It does not open automatically or store your dismissal in cookies or browser storage. When analytics is enabled on a public page, we measure resource-panel views and the selected partner without sending your form contents.
Manage your data
The button below clears your saved shortlist and browser comparison selection. It does not remove previously submitted briefs or newsletter signups. To request deletion of a submission, use the correction form and quote your reference number; the operator can delete it from the database.
